Does LILA only produce dehydrated and crushed alternatives?
No! LILA provides a Lab-Verifed Authentic Category A Compost that is rich in nutrients and suitable for various applications.
What is Category A compost?
Category A – Compost that can be used in any application, such as agricultural lands, residential gardens, horticultural operations, the nursery industry, and other businesses.
Do I need to do/buy anything else? Adding/buying substrates or additives?
NO! LILA DOES NOT NEED any filters, additives, or supplements.- Just get one LILA and it will do all the work for you.
How much energy does the bin use? Do I expected to see high electricity bill?
No! LILA use it’s patented architecture design to maximize its energy efficiency. The average electricity bill from LILA in a household of 4 people is ONLY $5/month. (Other competitor’s average is around $40-$50/month)
Will I need to do any maintenance on my LILA after I start using it?
LILA is designed to operate with minimal maintenance. While it's not necessary to clean the interior regularly, it is still a simple process if you choose to do so. Besides, there is no other maintenance needed!

Does LILA have any internal structures similar to a filter? If so, do these need to be replaced or cleaned?
LILA does not need any filter and you do not need to replace any filter. You just need to simply clean the interior.
Other home compostor can only support batch use. Why LILA can support continuous use?

How is air purification achieved by LILA? What is the underlying principle that delivers this effect?
LILA has a built-in odor destruction system which can continuously take the air around the bin and kitchen, which plays a role as an air purifier.
When can I expect to receive my LILA? And why do I need to place a pre-order?
The first shipment of LILA is scheduled to arrive in Canada in May 2024. By placing a pre-order, you are securing your access to a unit from the earliest possible batch. This ensures you won't have to wait once the product is officially available.
Can I get my deposit back if I change my mind?
Absolutely. Should you decide to cancel your pre-order prior to the shipment, we will process a full refund to your original form of payment.
Can you tell me how many steps are involved in the composting process?
Here’s the basics! You will only need to load food scraps in, and take the compost out at the end.
- Open the lid and load your food waste in the top hopper ANY TIME that you want.
- The food waste will be chopped for a minute, and deposited into a chamber below.
- LILA will collect and process your food scraps over two weeks, and turn them into compost. You can still add food scraps during this time!
- In two weeks, the bottom left or right LED will turn green. Take out the corresponding chamber and empty the compost, as well as the liquid chamber.
- After the first cycle, there will be a new batch of compost ready every week (every 7 days).
